Can a medication be made dye free or sugar free for a child?
Often yes, when the prescriber orders it. A compounding pharmacy can leave out a specific dye, sugar, or flavor a child reacts to, and can add a flavor the child will accept. Some preparations still need a preservative to stay stable, and the pharmacist will tell you when that applies.
